This year, we had the pleasure of attending the AEGVE International Summit, where our Key Account Director, Marta Marin, had the honor of moderating a panel discussion with industry experts. In this space of exchange and reflection, we explored the perspectives of three prominent Travel Managers on the future of business travel and how Corporate Housing is the path to the well-being of business travelers. Today, we share with you the 3 key learnings that emerged during the conversation.
Evolution of corporate housing: more than a trend The evolution of corporate housing has been remarkable, with a significant increase in demand. In 2018, there was a 21.5% increase for work projects. However, the remote work revolution in 2021 led to a rethinking of office spaces and a preference for more homely accommodations. At Apartool, we have witnessed this evolution; in 2023, we will reach 6,000 requests, demonstrating that corporate housing goes beyond being a trend.
In this context, Veronica Ocaña, Global Travel Manager at Grupo Babel, highlighted corporate housing at the International Summit as an option for temporary relocations, prioritizing service quality and employee well-being. In addition, Inés Fernández, Travel Manager at the Francisco de Vitoria University, supported Veronica's perspective, emphasizing the implicit attribute of corporate housing: the "friends" phenomenon. Inés describes these residences as places where one lives, works, and creates an environment that challenges the limits of office coexistence, representing an opportunity to convey the values of the university, strengthening the connection between employees and the institution.
These visions illustrated the evolution of corporate accommodation, solidifying it as more than a trend but as a comprehensive approach to the well-being of displaced workers.
Beyond the stay, an investment in well-being Corporate Housing redefines business travel with benefits beyond comfort. Veronica Ocaña, during the AEGVE roundtable, highlighted, in addition to the spaciousness and flexibility of this type of accommodation, its strong connection to the well-being of corporate travelers.
Charo Sánchez, Travel Manager at ACTIU, reinforced this concept by emphasizing well-being as the primary benefit of Corporate Housing, being a true incentive and investment for companies. From the incentive perspective, providing homely stays fosters motivation and enhances the results of workers. In terms of investment, Charo emphasized how well-being directly impacts productivity, benefiting both the worker and the company.
In conclusion, Veronica and Charo's vision converges on the importance of Corporate Housing as a facilitator of well-being. From flexibility to the positive impact on productivity, it is clear that this type of accommodation has become a strategic investment for corporate travel.
Tailor-made solutions and know-how: drivers for efficient operations The demands of Travel Managers to optimize corporate travel focus on personalized solutions and industry expertise. Veronica Ocaña highlighted the importance of adaptation and efficiency, seeking flexibility in key aspects such as check-in, check-out, and cancellation policies, fundamental elements to adapt to the dynamic needs of the business.
Inés Fernández emphasized customer service, a deep understanding of the industry, and the need to stay updated on aspects such as digital transformation and security, priorities to ensure effective management.
In conclusion, Apartool is proud to offer corporate accommodations that directly impact the well-being of the displaced worker. Additionally, we have dedicated Key Account Managers for each project, ensuring personalized attention and expertise that contributes to the positive transformation of corporate travel.
